CONCERNING DOUBTING

THE BIBLE SAYS…

Compiled by Daniel L Wakefield

·         Genesis 17:17               Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?

·         Matthew 11:1-5              Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, 3And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?

·         Matthew 13:58               And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

·         Mark 4:40                        And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?

·         Mark 16:14                      Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

·         John 12:37                     But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:

·         John 20:25-27               The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. 26And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. 27Then saith he to Thomas, reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

·         Acts 10:20                      Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.             (See Acts 11:12)

·         Romans 14:23               And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

·         James 1:6-8                   But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
