CONCERNING FAITH

THE BIBLE SAYS…

Compiled by Daniel L. Wakefield

·         Matthew 9:22                             But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

·         Acts 3:16                                    And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

·         Romans 4:19-21                       And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

·         Romans 5:1-2                            Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

·         Romans 10:17                           So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

·         Romans 14:23                           And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

·         2 Corinthians 5:7                      (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

·         Hebrews 10:38-39,11:1, 6       Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 39But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.  11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

·         James 2:17-20, 26                    Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. 18Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. 19Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. 20But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?  26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

·         1 John 5:4-5                   For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
