CONCERNING SALVATION

THE BIBLE SAYS…

Compiled by Daniel L. Wakefield

·         Luke 13:3                        I tell you, Nay:  but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

·         John 1:12                       But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

·         John 3:7                          Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

·         John 3:16-18                  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.  He that believeth on him is not condemned:  but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath no believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

·         Romans 3:23                 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

·         Romans 5:8                   But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

·         Romans 6:23                 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

·         Romans 10:9-10           That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

·         Ephesians 2:8-9            For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

·         I Peter 3:18                     For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

·         I John 1:9                        If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

·         I John 5:11-13                And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
